Happy New Years All, and happy new weekly beats year!

This is jam with Morton from last year I dusted off and messed with to have something to upload this week.

This year my intention is for weekly beats as a sketchbook, just getting some ideas down and messing around. And then in some weeks to try and properly mix tracks and upload them here for feedback and learning. This one falls into the first category!
Feedback and thoughts always appreciated.

Looking forward to hear more from the community, god speed!

Glad to see you back! Let's go WB '26!

I really like this sketch - lot's of fun parts in there. I really like how I can hear the strings of the bass, sort of has that organic texture against the synths. And that watery sort of reversed guitar that floats behind the bed music is great. Lyrics popped up as almost like a surprising bridge. I agree with your tags - I don't know, but I like it!

Welcome Back! Your mixing sounds tighter from last I listened to your stuff in 2024. Looking forward to taking a peek at your sketchbook ideas this year.

Can I have my minutes back? Only joking, that was groovy baby. Makes me want to move my body.

I really like that bass line. I like the saturation on the vocal, it really cuts in the mix. (Plus the arrangement leaves place to the vocals)

Fun track.

Welcome back! Glad to see you again. It's funny how a little syncopation, some L/R panning, and a filter can make a single note sound so fun. This is cool!

Welcome back! Loved the style of this track, right from the start I was hoping for vocals and i appreciate that i had to wait a little. thanks!

VIBE
welcome back,  buddy.

I like this sketch a lot. I wouldn't go full "feedback mode", but since you asked, here's some unsolicited opinions. Feel free to ignore!

This syncopated synth auto-panned sound is really attention grabbing. Which is why in the first part of the song I would cut half of it off, so that whenever it enters it feels impactful. Just like you're doing with the vocals and the synth coming in after. I also expected another vocal run before the song ended, even if it was repeated from before but with an added harmonization, that would make it a full song. The synth breakdown at the end is a perfect closer then, no notes on that.
